Approaching its second edition, to be held at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre from 6 – 8 May 2014, M&E WA is an exciting, fast-growing biennial mining industry exhibition and conference that focuses on the unique needs, challenges and opportunities facing Western Australia’s mining industry. M&E WA is positioned as the number one mining marketplace in Western Australia – Australia’s largest mining state. With the resource-rich state of WA leading national mining industry growth, M&E WA provides a Perth-based platform for exhibiting companies to launch and sell products and services, raise their profile to the WA mining industry and exploit the opportunity to access a new sector or region. M&E WA provides a Perth-based platform for exhibitors from WA, other Australian States and overseas to launch and sell their latest range of products to the market, raise their profile to the WA mining industry and exploit the opportunity to access a new sector or region. The majority of exhibitors will be focused on metalliferous mining (ie. iron ore, gold, copper, zinc, nickel) that makes up the majority of the mining in WA. The exhibitor profile will include businesses from throughout the mining industry supply chain. As reflected in the audience at M&E WA 2011, visitors to M&E WA represent all key job functions within mining operations and maintenance, ranging from senior executives, purchasing professionals, minesite management roles through to operators and end-users.
Held at PCEC in July 2011, the first edition of M&E WA was a success and exceeded its targets for all key metrics; number of exhibitors, net exhibition space, number of visitors, quality of visitors, exhibitor satisfaction, visitor satisfaction and intention to return.

○ There were 2,749 total visits over the three days
○ 73% of visitors were “satisfied” to “very satisfied”
○ 94% of exhibitors stated they “may” or “will” exhibit at the next M&E WA
○ 66% of visitors stated that they intend to visit the next M&E WA
